A: We install one antenna on the outside of the dwelling that has a clear view to the tower and run CAT5e cable inside the house to a computer or router. The only power that is needed is one outlet at the point where the CAT5e connects to the computer or router.
Q: Do I need any special hardware for my computer?
A: A network card is required, however, most new computers come with one already installed. If one is required, this item can be purchased or we can provide and install one for $20.00 .
Q: Do I need any special software?
A: No. Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista, and 7 have all the drivers needed. You might need to have the original install disc for any missing drivers.
Q: I have an Apple computer. Will this work?
A: Yes, most definitely.
Q: Can I connect more than one computer?
A: Yes, you can connect as many as you wish. Flash-Link provides one connection to a computer or router in home. Owners are responsible from there, but help is always available.
Q: What is a router?
A: A router is a devise that allows you to connect multiple computer to a single internet connect. It can be either wired or wireless and can provide a wireless signal for use inside your home of office. If you want to save yourself the time and effort of configuring a router we can sale you one and configure it while we do the install.
